David Freund has over 25 years of expertise in structured and tax advantaged finance for energy. He has financed over $4 billion of assets. With David at the helm, Jupiter has been the financial advisor for over 2,000 MW of renewable energy. Jupiter is currently focused on renewable energy transactions involving public finance. David is an innovator and a financial engineer. He created a suite of products for financing renewable energy in 2003. This invention received a patent in 2010. The invention is the engine for the Guaranteed WindPower, Guaranteed PublicPower, and Guaranteed SolarPower products. David has experience in all facets of renewable energy development including project finance, origination, and development support. After financing over $2 billion of energy assets while working at MUFG and in BNP Paribas’ tax equity group, in 2003 David formed North Castle Capital advisory focusing on developing new solutions for energy. In 2005, David co-founded WindFarm Finance with the former Head of Leasing from Bank of America. WindFarm leveraged its expertise by becoming an affiliate of Macquarie Bank. David was responsible for originating M&A and Financial Advisory opportunities for Macquarie Bank including several bi-lateral opportunities to acquire wind farm developers and opportunities to partner with Shell Wind. In 2009, David formed Jupiter Renewables. At Jupiter, David continued to advise Shell Wind. In addition, David and Jupiter formed a marketing Joint Venture with Blackstone Advisory Partners. This JV focused on transactions with international renewable energy Sponsors and a portfolio of projects with Siemens Gamesa. David has a Master of International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University where he was the Teaching Assistant for Corporate Finance, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Emory University.

Robert is highly seasoned, results driven Development Director with over 20 years of experience developing power projects totaling over 10 gigawatts. He spent the majority of his career with a Fortune 500 energy company including experience with wind power and battery storage. He led projects with assets across the US at a greenfield stage through to commercial operations Robert has significant experience and knowledge in all aspects of development including all of the various activities and creative troubleshooting of these activities (permitting, land acquisition, resource assessment, interconnection, PPA proposals and negotiation, equipment procurement, EPC/BOP negotiation and construction management, tax issues, financing, site identification, etc.) necessary to achieve commercial operation. He managed numerous development teams, projects, businesses (including joint ventures) and consultants along with the associated budgets. Robert has worked in PJM, ERCOT, NEISO, NYISO, SERC, SPP and MISO and his management experience encompasses all aspects of the acquisition and divestiture of projects and businesses, including the sale of over 4.5 gigawatts of wind farms and over 8 years of experience as Asset Manager of operating power plants.
